Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Gen-Y anti-rattle clamp for three inch hitch receivers. Now this is going to help take any play out of your receiver tube for your three inch hitches, so any of your hitch mount accessories, like your ball mounts, cargo carriers, that sort of thing, you're not gonna have to worry about them rattling and swaying, causing a lot of noise and shaking any of your cargo. And this is gonna be very simple to get installed. You'll just slip the clamp here over top the shank on your hitch mount accessory and then the lip here is gonna go on your hitch receiver. You can see we've got these bolts that you'll then tighten down and that's going to lift up on that receiver tube or on your shank that's in your receiver tube and so that's gonna take out any of that play, give you a nice solid connection.
This is a durable steel construction, so it is gonna hold up really well for you. It's also got that black powder coat finish. It's gonna help resist corrosion, so it will last you a nice long time and then is made here in the USA, so you can trust it is gonna be a good quality. So if you are needing to take some of that shake and play out of your three inch hitch mounted accessories, this is gonna be a great option for you. That completes our look for today.
Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

4 stars because I had to grind off 1/8" from the top of it to clear the bumper.
The Gen Y 2.5 inch anti rattle plate worked on my factory rear hitch and Pro Series 2 inch anti rattle plate worked on my front North Hitch on my 2024 RAM 3500 both that have very little clearance between the base of the bumper and top of the hitches where other anti rattle U bolt plates would not work. If you want extremely strong hitches North Hitch from Torque Lift has no equal
No matter how handy one might be, the video instructions are much appreciated.
Works as advertised.
I purchased this to try to compensate for the my hitch not fitting snugly in the receiver of my F250. I know this is a common problem with the 2-1/2" receiver in the F250.
For this use, which is obviously much more than anti-rattle, the device did not hold up well at all.
The forces involved bent it and pretty much destroyed it in under 1000 miles.
It is probably fine for its intended use. I was fairly easy to install. It just wasn't suited for my need.
Hitch is solid now. I like that the finish matches so it looks like the original hitch and not an add on.
This looked like the perfect solution for anti rattle and looks nice. After a cross country trip the screws were quite loose even though I tightened them down with a powered driver. Bolt heads also are a bit deformed after tightening and where the bolts contact the receiver hitch is marred. I have been considering replacing this with a different one to see if it works any better.
I like that it does not look cheap and also that looks like it belongs and is part of my Hitch.
The Gen Y, anti rattle 2" clamp works great. I installed it on my 2021 Bronco Sport to tow my teardrop camper. Yeah no more rattle and annoying noise.
Works great. After ordering the one touch tracking Trailer uses is amazing. Shows every step in the shipment along the way.
Great experience from Trailer.
Will definitely shop there again when needed.
Please share with employees what a great job they have done.
Thank you.
This did exactly what I needed it to do and it's low profile enough to work with the limited space I have. Haven't driven with it yet but I don't forsee any issues.
I applied the Gen-Y Anti Rattle Clamp to my Gen-Y Torsion Flex Hitch. My wife and I tow an RV about 4,300 lbs with our Ford F150 and we are really pleased with the results of the Gen-Y Anti Rattle Clamp. It works as advertised, there is no rattle while towing. I did re-tighten the bolts re-check the bolts every so often to make sure they are tight. Very nice Gen-Y and thank you etrailer.
Needed heavy modification to work on my dynamax
Problem solved. Easy installation.
Locked my hitch in & no more rattling
Works great easy install in less than 5 mins.
Poor quality material started to get out of shape was worthless after 6months!
It's ok, not nearly as robust as it would seem. Mine works but has a significant bend or bow in the side with the bolts. I would consider a built design if I could find one for a 3" hitch.
works great, have had no issues with it.
It works- I still use it - but you need to remove it every time you change the hitch insert for size changes or adjustments for any reason - yes i would recommend it - it does require a good amount of torque to get it tight enough to not come loose - it seems that heavy loads do cause it to lossen up during stops and go traffic
So far so good, it pulled the shank up nice and tight against the receiver and removed the little bit of play that was there.

I am very sorry to hear that Rafael, I usually hear great things on Gen-Y products. Do you happen to know the tongue weight of what you were using it for? I would like to dig a little deeper on this and reach out to Gen-Y, but I just need to gather a little more information first.
